Booking Features
The Booking screen has been designed to take bookings with the minimum number of key strokes. All the booking information including the job distance and charge are clearly displayed and users can navigate easily from field to field.
Caller ID is available on both analogue and ISDN lines. This software recognises the inbound telephone number and will display a summary of previously booked jobs. The telephonist can rapidly select any of the previous matching job details which greatly reduces the time to take a booking.
Bookings Limit Graph
The Booking Limits Graph instantly shows vehicle availability at any time as well as job notes, job distance and charge.
The Booking Limits Graph automatically updates to show vehicle availability for time of the current booking being taken.
Booking Statistics & History
Each booking has additional information that can be viewed after the booking has been taken such as the allocated driver/vehicle, any amendments made to the booking and journey time statistics.
Find a booking
Navigator comes equipped with a powerful search facility that allows you to search for bookings using almost any search criteria. You can even narrow the search down by entering more criteria; the more criteria you enter the more accurate the results will be.
Regular Bookings & School Runs
Regular Bookings such as school runs can be created very easily and you can even specify exclusions such as a teacher training day or half term when there will be no need to do the run.
Vehicle Types
Vehicle types can be allocated to job with special requirements. These details are then displayed next to the job on the Despatch screen and used by the new Vehicle Type Matching module which attempts to match the job to the most appropriate vehicle.
Journey Times & Lead times
Navigator uses journey times or “travel Times” to calculate the length of a journey and estimate when a driver will clear from a job. Travel times aren’t just the time it takes from pick-up to drop-off, they also include lead times and return to base times.
There are many parts of the system that rely on travel times to provide accurate information such as the Booking Limits Graph and lead times for despatching.
