Diplomat Navigator has quite simply the best documentation and help of any Booking & Despatch software on the market today. Several years of dedicated time by an experienced software trainer has been dedicated to creating the built-in help system and three user guides that accompany the software. The documentation and help are always evolving with the system and as new features are developed, so is the accompanying documentation and help.
Diplomat Navigator User Guides
The whole Diplomat Navigator user guide has been split into three modules; one for the Telephonists, another for the Despatchers and one for Owner/Managers. Each feature of the software is documented in a simple and easy to understand way.
The User Guides have dramatically cut-down the amount of consultation and training required on a new installation and have been written in a way that means they can be picked up and put down as needed so as you come across a feature, just look it up in the Table of Contents or the Index and off you go!
Telephonist User Guide
The Telephonist User Guide is aimed at Telephonists or staff who take bookings. It gives full instructions on how to take all types of bookings, from a normal cash booking, to an account booking and the creation of a regular booking.
Despatcher User Guide
The Despatcher User Guide is aimed at the people who are despatching jobs. It gives instructions on all aspects of despatching jobs to drivers, bringing drivers on shift and off shift and changing driver status.
Owner/Manager User Guide
Owner/Manager guide is aimed at the people who will be administering the system, whether that’s the owner or the office manager. It is extremely comprehensive with over 215 pages of information about setting up and configuring the system as well as instructions on how to complete everyday administrative tasks.
Built-in Help
The comprehensive built-in Help system has been created using a specialist application called Web Works and has been an integral part of Navigator since the beginning of 2004. It uses the standard easy to Windows Help layout and includes powerful index and search facilities.

The free support area is a great place to post a question or problem that you may be experiencing; these posts are often answered by other Diplomat Navigator users and not just by the Diplomat support staff! The FAQs forum has the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Shortcut Keys
A comprehensive list of keyboard short-cut keys makes Navigator quick and easy to use. A list of short-cut keys is available to pin up near to each workstation for quick reference.
Tips Cards
Post card sized Tip Cards for the in-car data heads cover a multitude of topics and are designed to hang inside the car. They make easy work of driver training and also act as useful memory joggers for the more obscure features of the data heads.
