Drivers and Vehicles

Vehicle Profiles

A profile of each vehicle in your fleet holds information such as vehicle registration number, expiry dates for MOT, road tax, insurance & plate. The system can be configured to check these dates each time the driver logs on and if necessary prevent the driver from working. A History files stored that will enable playback of vehicle routes and can also be used to track company assets.

Vehicle Type Matching

Most circuits operate different vehicle types such as cars, estates, MPVs & mini-buses and matching the job requirements to a suitable vehicle is vitally important for your company to run efficiently and profitably. Diplomat Navigator vehicle type matching also enables alternetive vehicles to be used if the exact match cannot be made. These alternatives can be listed in desirable match order or just be a pool of alternative vehicle types.

Vehicle History

With GPS or other location based information it is now possible to store all the history of a vehicles movements. This can now beplayed back to track the movements of a vehicle.

Driver Profiles

In some regions it is a requirement of the operators licence that drivers details are recorded.

Diplomat Navigator stores all this information and more and as with the vehicles can warn you if any of their legal documents are about to expire.

The driver pricing rate and additions/deductions are also stored in the profile which is then used by Navigator to calculate how much the driver owes the company or how much the company owes the driver.

Driver Statements

Diplomat Navigator boasts one of the most extensive driver accounting packages and can add or dedct from a drivers accounts for a variety of reasons. As expected there can be varied percentages for cash and account work but more detailed billing such as shift charges and additional additions and deductions for specific places such as airport terminals is also accommodated.

Statements either show how much the driver owes the company or how much the company owes the driver. The statements detail all the jobs carried out by the driver, and include information about additions & deductions and if required, legal document expiry dates. The driver can then pay or be paid and full transactional documentation and records are recorded.

Driver statements can be output as PDF, HTML, CSV or EXCEL or just printed.

Driver Payments

There are so many different ways that companies within the Private Hire industry calculate driver payments and Navigator is flexible enough to cope with all possibilities! This includes regular additions and deductions to a drivers salary, commissions or place administration charges such as airports etc…

Driver Schedules

This enables you to create an unlimited number of driver shifts that can also have different rates applied to them. It also ensures that the drivers turn up to work as Grace periods can be set outside of which they will not be permitted to logon.

Drivers are also prevented from continuing work once their shift period has expired.

Schedules can be for regular days of the week and can make exceptions for bank holidays or special events.

Long Distance Rota

The Long Distance Rota is designed to distribute what drivers consider to be lucky or profitable jobs inan equitable way. There can be any number of long distance rotas and drivers can be scored on a points, mileage or financial system. Jobs that fall into the long distance rota category will be marked as a different colour.

Driver Operations

The Driver Operations window has been designed to make life a little easier for the larger Navigator sites by pulling all driver operations into one place. Some of the things you can do in Driver Operations include:*Go To Voice*Assume on Data*Ping Datax*Clear from Sin Bin*Driver messages*Force Clear

Sin Bin

The Sin Bin is designed to penalise drivers who keep rejecting job offers. If a driver is “sin binned” the system prevents the driver from logging back on for a period of time. The way the Sin Bin works is quite simple, if the Sin Bin Timer is set to 10 minutes and a driver makes three or more rejects within double the sin bin time i.e. in this instance 20 minutes, the driver will be sin binned for 20 minutes.
