Phone Redirection - July 14th, 2008 by Diplomat Guru
Many of our customers have acquired out of area telephone lines or wish to be able to redirect phone calls to a different location at night.
Out of area lines cost money
BT and the other telephone network operators have always had problems with what they consider out of area call forwarding and even though some numbers have originated only a few hundred metres down the road any attempts to move it to a new location involves fixed landlines and extra costs, not to mention the occasional loss of caller ID when they are transferred. In addition to this every redirected call is charged for.
Diplomat now has the answer.
We have developed a number of simple VoIP (Voice over internet protocol) products that enable us to convert standard telephone lines to Internet style data. This means with a simple internet connection at each location the phone calls can be transferred from one location to another just like having a roaming extension phone.
This change in location for the answering phone or PBX system is totally transparent to the telephone company. All we do is arrange to have your line virtually terminated at the BT exchange and then send the voice call over the internet directly to your office or any another location anywhere in the world.
You can even setup a foreign office or call centre to take your bookings the other side of the world or if you were workaholics like us you could even take your laptop home or even to another country and cover a telephonists or despatchers shift just as if you were in the office. The permutations are endless.
Even connect your offices using wireless
If you don’t have the internet or need to transfer many lines and need more bandwidth than the internet allows then Diplomat have a number of Microwave devices that cost less than you would expect .
This means you can connect directly to the computers, cameras and the phone systems at the remote location using either the internet or your own private wireless network. You can take bookings, answer calls and even see your customers and staff.
For further information please discuss your requirements in detail either on the Remote Access section of the forum or telephone Diplomat to discuss your requirement.
